VICE PRESIDENT, Regulatory and Reimbursement Affairs

The Arthritis Foundation is the only national not-for-profit organization that supports the more than 100 types of arthritis and related conditions with advocacy, programs, services and research. Our Public Policy and Advocacy department, located in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced Vice President, Regulatory and Reimbursement Affairs to join our team of professionals.

The Vice President, Regulatory and Reimbursement Affairs, is responsible for initiating and responding to public policy proposals which relate to reimbursement and coverage of arthritis treatments/providers and access to care issues for people with arthritis. Qualified candidate will have demonstrated policy analysis skills, comfort and familiarity with reading and analyzing legislation and regulation (CMS, FDA), and advanced analytical and writing skills to guide the creation and development of Foundation public policy. This individual will use his/her expertise in the U.S. health insurance system and knowledge of specific health coverage issues affecting people with arthritis in order to analyze, develop, and recommend Foundation policies and positions on federal legislative and regulatory activities and priorities. Must have strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to travel and work independently. A Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years public policy/regulatory analysis experience in a government, non-profit or corporate setting is required.
