Funding Resources

Long-term sustainability is a major issue for all Healthy Start projects. Diversifying your funding base beyond your federal grant takes time and effort. Click the links below for resources that might be of assistance to you in expanding resources to sustain your project.

The information contained on the following pages is for informational purposes only and does not signify that a particular foundation or agency will support your program. Research each organization thoroughly to make sure you follow the application process and that your request meets their requirements and program areas. Note, also, that many foundations offer “out-of-program” awards, for initiatives that do not meet their specific funding interests, but are meritorious and somehow fit their mission. Don’t submit an application just hoping they will fund you, though. Make a contact and find out if they would be interested. You have to cultivate the decision-makers and foundation staff.
